Kayley Henning

Board Member and Vetting Director

Kayley has been around dogs her entire life and has adored them for as long as she can remember.

She has volunteered in the rescue world, but wanted to get more directly involved in saving the lives of those most in need.

Her ideal day is sitting on a sunny patio dog watching.

Mark Raska

Mark Raska

Board Member and Supplies Director

Due to allergies, Mark grew up in a home without dogs. When he took the opportunity to make an amazing senior dog's life better, he realized it did the same for him. Since then, Mark has been fostering and helping local rescues in whichever way he can. He adopted his dog Fluff through Stray to Play after fostering her!

He enjoys running with Fluff - rain, sun, or snow. In fact, he's probably doing it right now.

Susanne Bertolas

Event Manager, Post-Adoptions & Training

Susanne grew up in a family where dogs and animals always came first. Her dad's little VW Bug had more cages and German Shepherds in the car than could fit the human family! Her & her sister brought home every animal they felt was in need. Housing snapping turtles and abandoned ducklings that were rescued from the Humber River, to stray cats and dogs in the city. Raising money for dogs on walkathons was a weekend ritual!

Susanne's favourite time of day is early morning walks with her 12 year old Boston/Pug and chatting with all her dog friends in the forest. Then coming home to her Cockatiel Jackson 'shotgun' shoulder bird to start her day.
